Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal Semantics Workshop (TOM 17)
When and Where
Description
TOM is a friendly and informal workshop on semantics and related fields. It is an ideal forum for graduate students to share their research via a talk (20 minutes + 10 minutes Q&A) or a poster. The workshop will take place in person and is free to attend.
The Call for papers is below:
The 2025 Toronto-Ottawa-Montreal Semantics Workshop (TOM 17) will be hosted by the Department of Linguistics at the University of Ottawa on May 10, 2025. The workshop will be held in person. We invite the submission of abstracts on any topic in semantics, pragmatics, and its interfaces.
Talks will be 20 minutes long with 10 minutes for questions. Abstracts should be a maximum of one page in length (with references on a second page), with one-inch margins and 12 point font (Times or equivalent), and should indicate whether they should be considered for a talk, a poster, or both.
Abstracts must be submitted to their local contacts (see below) by April 11. Authors will be notified of acceptance by April 17.
Please submit your abstract to the contact person in your area:
