The Undergraduate Research Fund Award - Linguistics
The Department of Linguistics offers funding to support student-driven undergraduate research supervised by Linguistics faculty conducted during the academic year. This includes research costs (e.g., participants, consultants), conference travel to give a talk, and attendance at linguistics summer schools. An average amount awarded over the last few years has been around $250, subject to the available funding and numbers of applications.

The Elaine Gold Award for Undergraduate Achievement in Linguistics
This award is for students who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their required 200-level linguistics courses, and carries with it an $800 award value. The award is handed out annually to a linguisitcs Major or Specialist in our program. There is no application for this award.

The Jack Chambers Undergraduate Scholarship in Linguistics (OSOTF II)
This award is to be awarded to an undergraduate student in the Department of Linguistics (St. George) on the basis of financial need. Academic merit may also be considered. The award is handed out annually to a 3rd or 4th year linguisitcs Major or Specialist in our program. There is no application required for this Award.
The Henry Rogers Memorial Scholarship Fund
This award is to be awarded to an undergraduate student in the Department of Linguistics (St. George) on the basis of financial need and academic merit. The award is handed out annually to a 3rd or 4th year linguisitcs Major or Specialist in our program. There is no application required for this Award.
The McNab Scholarship in Linguistics
This award is to be awarded to an outstanding undergraduate student in the Department of Linguistics (St. George) on the basis of academic merit. The award is handed out annually to a 3rd year linguisitcs Major or Specialist in our program with an A average. There is no application required for this Award.
The Roberge/Massam Scholarship in Linguistics
To be awarded to a New College student enrolled in the major or specialist program in the Department of Linguistics on the basis of financial need. Academic merit will also be considered. Students are automatically considered for this award in September, based on academic results from the previous fall/winter session. There is no application required for this Award.
